Southern Tourism Company (Marina Transportation)

Southern Tourism Company “STC” was established in October 2000 .Ever since they have played a protuberant role in supporting the development of the Maritime transportation and Tourism sector to Hawar Islands. The islands located 20 km from the south of kingdom of Bahrain, it’s an archipelago from 14 small islands the largest is Hawar the mother island with 52 sqm. “STC” were appointed with the support of the 13 vessels range from ranged from speed boats to luxury passenger boats, service boats, Barge , landing craft and Tug Boat ,which makes them owners of the biggest commercial passenger fleet in the kingdom of Bahrain are the official carrier that offers a pioneering services from the mainland Bahrain to Hawar islands.

In 2013 “STC” transferred from Eskan Bank to be 100% subsidized by Bahrain Mumtalakat Holdings Company (Mumtalakat) recently, “STC” acquired its sister company Southern Area Development Company “SADCO” the owners of Hawar Beach Hotel.

Services

Southern Tourism Company believes that they are “The Hub of Sea Tourism and Logistics” that will serve all Bahrain territorial waters. This believe is a reflection of the services by “STC” that are segmented into three sections. Firstly, Al-Dur Marina through offering well developed marina, with mooring dry and wet jetties for leisure boats. Secondly, Logistics Transportation in all Bahrain territorial waters mainly to Hawar Islands providing three types of Cargo transportation Light (up to 1 ton) service boat , Medium (up to 20 tons) landing craft and heavy (up to 500 tons) Barge. Finally, the provided Tourism services which is charting luxury boat trips in all Bahrain territorial waters. Also, renting Al-Maha lagoon chalets a fully-furnished chalets like and an apartment located in the North West Hawar Islands. Additionally, Hawar Beach Hotel “HBH” that is located on the southern cost of Hawar Islands and since April 2017 it was powered by “STC”.
